Creation committee by Welcome Family

The creation committee was set up in response to the need toexpand the Welcome Familyrange of eco-friendly games. Its aim is to offer new products more often, for children's menus and welcome kits for restaurants and hotels. An event that takes place several times a year within the company. It brings together the whole team and mixes all sectors to give all employees the chance to one day see their game produced and then sold to the various Welcome Family customers. The company benefits in several ways.

Team cohesion

Team-building, an event that allows everyone to be heard and listened to. Give your opinion, your advice, simply exchange ideas for an afternoon between sectors that don't necessarily have the opportunity to communicate in their day-to-day missions.

Pushing creativity

Pushing creativity and collecting ideas from everyone stimulates the team. In fact, sales people or even after-sales service personnel don't necessarily have tasks that lead to the realization of a product; these stages are often led by graphic designers, for example.

Giving outsiders a chance in this creative phase can bring out good ideas, provide new points of view and enable the realization of novelties.

Stay up-to-date and competitive

Frequent production of new games offers customers an ever-growing range and choice of games. As a result, they can adapt their children's offer more often and also renew it for their customers. This is clearly a benefit for them and the image of their business.

RULES TO FOLLOW

Games submitted to the design committee must fit into certain categories. Zero plastic is de rigueur! Following the anti-waste law of January 1, 2022, the games offered to children in CHRs can no longer contain plastic, so our games must be environmentally friendly and, above all, recyclable at the end of their life. That's why one of the rules for proposing a game is to favor an eco-friendly material like cardboard, for example.

Another obvious rule is that the game must be fun, or even edutainment. Because while children can be kept busy with our games, they should above all have fun, and if they can also learn something at the end of the game, that will be all the more beneficial. An example is Let's sign, a card game selected by the design committee, which aims to introduce youngsters to sign language by signing animals. A simple concept, but one that can help many children discover this language.

Games presented during the creation committees:

The creation committee has been in existence since the end of 2021, and now more than a dozen games have been produced thanks to this event. It's a milestone in the life of Welcome Family, as it helps to bond and involve employees in the success of the business through new products and services. But it also gives restaurateurs and hoteliers the opportunity to compete with the big chains through high-quality children's offers.
