Communiqué de Presse : Le nouvel axe de développement de Welcome Family

Welcome Family continues its development and tackles a new market segment: parks and playgrounds

In Paris, April 2, 2019 - Already a leader in childcare equipment and products for hotels and restaurants, Welcome Family is now tackling a new sector: playgrounds. If welcoming families and children is at the heart of their concerns, playgrounds have every interest in offering services that will make a difference in this highly competitive sector. The market leader, La Boîte aux Enfants, which owns the Gulli Parc and Woupi playgrounds, has chosen Welcome Family to complete its "birthday" offer. Indeed, Welcome Family creates and produces white-label bags and gifts (coloring books, pencils, etc.) that will be given to children on their birthdays. This is a good start for Welcome Family, since Gulli Parcs and Woupi (12 parks throughout France) welcome one million visitors per year and celebrate 10,000 children's birthdays.

A new axis of development for Welcome Family

Working with more than 6,000 hotels and restaurants - in France and abroad, Welcome Family has decided to diversify and offer its services to parks and playgrounds. A market in full expansion, since there are currently more than 400 playgrounds for children in France

"Our core business is family outings! Parks and playgrounds for children, totally "Kids Friendly" places designed for children, are the logical continuation of our development. The collaboration with La Boite aux Enfants is a great opportunity to make ourselves known to children's parks all over France " explains Frédéric Marz, co-founder of Welcome Family

With La Boite aux Enfants, Welcome Family gains the trust of one of the main players in the sector

These children's play spaces, which benefit from the brand image of the Gulli children's channel, have grown by leaps and bounds since their creation in 2011. In 2015, La Boite aux Enfants also acquired the Woupi parks and confirmed its ambition to become one of the leaders in the children's play space sector.

"Birthdays for children are an important part of our offer to families, we celebrate about 10,000 a year! To stand out from the crowd, we needed a little 'extra' to our image, and Welcome Family was able to identify our desires very well," explains Gaëtan Le Jariel, co-founder of La Boîte aux Enfants, which operates Gulli Parcs and Woupi.
