The wild adventure of Quiz My Face!

Welcome Family creator and manufacturer of games for CHRs since 2011, is launching a game for Buffalo Grill franchise restaurants in 2020. The game is designed to entertain children while providing an enjoyable dining experience for families and friends. The main objective was to come up with an innovative idea to enrich the playful experience of the children's menu. Card games are particularly popular with restaurateurs due to their affordability, the ease of integrating them into the children's offer, and the many possibilities offered by the different versions available. However, our aim was to bring a fresh touch to this well-established offering. This is how a crack duo came up with an improved version of the card game, called "Quiz My Face". This new edition comes in a pouch containing 12 half-masks/cards. The aim of the game is to guess which mask you're wearing first. In this way, we've succeeded in introducing a fun and interactive dimension to the children's menu, offering an entertaining and memorable experience for Buffalo Grill's youngest guests.

The rules of the game are simple!

The half-masks are arranged so that their hidden side is visible. Each player draws a mask at random, then places it on his or her face to start the game. Participants take it in turns to ask questions, to which the others answer "yes" or "no". For example, a question might be: "Am I an animal?" If the answer is "yes", the player continues asking questions. If the answer is "no", it's the next turn. The first player to guess his character correctly wins the game, while the others can continue playing.

This edition of the game was a great success with families, thanks to its originality, fun and challenge. This success has piqued our interest in taking on new challenges ! As specialists in the field of children's gift games for CHRs, we are well acquainted with the BtoB sector. Wouldn't it be a good idea to explore the BtoC market by adapting this popular game to reach an even wider audience? To do so, however, wouldn't we need to make a few modifications?

The Quiz My Face Camembert version!

We're starting from scratch. The idea is to address a different target through a game. Standing out from the crowd is important, but respecting our values is even more so, and a CSR or even "made in France" approach is essential. Surrounding ourselves with the right factories was also a logical step.

The camembert box curiously comes to mind for the President of Welcome Family, a format not often used in the toy world, and which lends a very French touch to the game.

The box is manufactured in the Jura region of France, using poplar wood from sustainably managed French poplar plantations certified PEFC 10-32-2605 (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes). Production of the cards/masks takes place in Grenoble, in a factory specialized in shaping/cartonnage, while final assembly takes place in Bouc-Bel-Air, in the South of France.

The creation of a website and a commercial followed! The game was so successful that the well-known French news and investigative journalism program offered to film the ascent of Quiz My Face. Some ten minutes were devoted to the presentation of the game on Capital, providing excellent visibility. This brief appearance helped boost sales of Quiz My Face to a whole new level.

Back to basics!

After months of rising to the challenge, the whole team obviously preferred to return to its traditional business with Qui My Face, the BtoB. However, this does not mean that the game has disappeared. Our graphics team is reworking the design, creating new cards and offering a new dimension to the game. It now takes its place in the children's menu! Various collections of Quiz My Face in pocket format are now available, offering restaurateurs and hoteliers the chance to enhance their children's offers with gifts.
